OMG! Is this how most of the world lives? For most people, I guess the sun isn't a theoretical construct like it is for us for so much of the year. The weather is so amazing, I almost want to cry or go and hug something.
Being outside was mandatory. I hadn't washed the truck since last summer. It was a quite grimy. I figured I'd just putter around in the sun and do it by hand. We have a designated spot for washing vehicles right near our main parking level entrance. There's a garden hose there.
I brought down just a pinch or two of laundry powder to help. Just spraying with the hose wouldn't cut it, I knew. It didn't take long. Then, I spotted a half dried jar of Turtle Wax under the driver's seat. I really didn't think there was enough to complete the truck; then I remembered I only look at the hood when driving anyway. There was surely enough to do that. I kept going to the roof, the fenders, the doors, then realized there was enough stuff left in the can to do the back too.
I cannot believe I have been half thinking of getting rid of the 1996 Ranger. When caressing the entire exterior, all the former love returned. See, the photo shows what an exceptional job I did, even on the roof. Oooohhhh. Shiny, huh?
