Lots of TV and movie production takes place in British Columbia. It's often called Hollywood North. It's fun to watch TV shows such Fringe and Caprica just to see the buildings and locations in and around Vancouver. It's not surprising to suddenly recognize a scene in the middle of a Hollywood blockbuster.
Even in my little New Westminster a lot of location shooting occurs. I think many productions may skip credits for my city for the more generic Vancouver designation as well. During this whole week a lot of filming activity has been taking place downtown. Even as we speak, there are all sorts of crew and vehicles on the city's parkade. Brightly-colored arrows help people find the various locations, but the signs always abbreviate the production name. I think I noticed the letter TCF today. I have no idea it stands for.
