Having photos on Flickr is interesting (and sometimes gratifying). Of course, having close to 6,600 of them online means that they're viewed and shared quite frequently. If I do a search on DennisSylvesterHurd, many pages show links where people have incorporated various images on their own websites. I don't mind that at all, as long as proper credit is given. In fact I'll gladly adopt any bit of fame should it come my way!
Sometimes, the popularity of certain pictures surprises me. For example, the following image was taken at the Sri Lankan National Zoo in Dehlwela. It was taken in 2004 but wasn't put on Flickr, of course, until after I joined. The picture isn't really very clear but it must strike the fancy of visitors. As of the time of this writing it has been viewed 3048 times.
