We completed our module materials and even completed the final exam. As this course has extra hours, I've devoted the extra time to speaking practice. Our last class will meet next Friday. I'm using some interesting, professional materials. There is, however, a limit to how many hours students can stay self-motivated. I took them over to a computer lab thinking that I would let them do some listening practice with my online materials. I forgot that only our program's multimedia lab has headphones and that it was scheduled for use by another instructor. There are literally dozens of computer labs scattered around campus. We went to one in the same building but didn't have much to do after arriving. Every student looked so tired. I couldn't even get their attention by opening the online chat portion of our course homepage. They've mostly left for home now. That is a rare occurance for my classes. I just didn't feel as though it would be possible to do much of anything of value. We'll make up the lost minutes next week.Friday, December 11, 2009
Ending a Wee Bit Early
Is it finally Friday? Just yesterday, I was thinking that this week had been going by very quickly. Now a short 24 hours later, I've changed my tune. It could be that my class was tiring although I have already finished the hardest contact hours.
