More importantly to me now, it'll appear on my facebook wall too. A lot of other stuff will show up in that location as well today. My blog just doesn't contain the breadth of what is happening to me currently. It isn't as fun. There are so many things I now take for granted as necessary for communication that aren't blogged nor can they be emailed.

For example, I may review a movie after watching it. I participate in a few selected facebook applications that can be fun or quirky. Most importantly, I can choose the level on contact I have with those on my friends' list. I know more about what's going on in the lives of several of my former school teachers who are in their 80's than I do with some current, non-facebooking friends. There are still a few holdouts, people who have not bothered to join the newer way of doing things. Unfortunately, the only thing I can say to them is: "It's a shame you aren't actively participating in our lives." I suppose it may be possible to call someone a friend even though he doesn't use facebook, but that person is choosing not to be an active part of my daily routine.
