On my home PC, my browser of choice is
Firefox. I was thinking about running
Chrome on my netbook, but have defaulted to the release candidate of
IE8 for XP. I don't bother playing with any of the alternatives. The browser will probably become the operating system in the next half dozen years. Yet, it's hard for me to get terribly excited about any of the offerings. There are some loyal users who can argue all day about which browser should be on one's PC but, to me, it seems as if most of the vendors are copying from each other at this point.
Actually, I find it a tad annoying when switching between versions. In Mozilla, I arranged home in a place that's totally different from IE. I know it's the underpinning of
what's under the hood that is crucial. That said, to most end-users, knowing where to click is most important.
