Tonight, I'm looking foward to seeing Oscars being handed out in high-definition. This year, we've not seen as many of the nominated films as in the recent past. I do find it interesting that a number of the films have already been released on DVD. Perhaps before the next Academy Awards, I expect the DVD version to be on sale when exiting the theatre.On a related topic, I have one little thought. Damn the Blu-ray and HD DVD camps for not getting their act together and hammering out a universal format. Now the prices are going to be higher and the adoption to higher-density disks longer.
