I used to be able to hit on my saved images and they'd open in AC/DC automatically. Now they don't. How do I set my AC/DC graphics program as the default to open images?
Answer:
All file types are "registered to" a particular program on your computer. This registration process occurs whenever you install a new program. The extension helps the operating system automatically open a selected file within an appropriate software program. It does this by recognizing the part of the file name which comes after the dot. An MS Word document always ends with .DOC as an example. To alter the program currently associated with a particular type of file, you'll have to do the following:
1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Go to TOOLS -- >FOLDER OPTIONS.
3. Click FILE TYPES and the association listing will slowly load.
4. Scroll down to the .JPG and .JPEG extensions and you'll see the current program listed.
5. Change by clicking BROWSE and replace with the one which you wish to create the association ... in your case, AC/DC.
