Rather than seeing if our blackberry spot had tiny fruit for us to pick, we drove up to Simon Fraser University. The prestigious place of higher learning is not very far away, but it sits high on a nearby mountain. The location, a sort of geological ivory tower, makes it seem far removed from the drone of everyday activity. On Sunday before classes had begun, of course, it was mostly deserted.
We never had reason to walk around the actual campus, and we really didn't today either. However, we knew it'd be quiet as the academic year is still around the corner. Wow, there is a lot of construction taking place! It must have been a very impressive set of buildings when built in the 1960s, but I guess it was in great need for some renovation.

I plugged in my car while were walked around. In the 45 minutes we took, it did not get much of a boost. Level 3 DC wasn't operating and less than an hour of standard, Level 2 didn't add a great number of kilometers to my battery. Yet, the session was free and I should be pleased that during our walk, our EV, named Kimchi, got some free juice.
