"Ah, I gave up on my own reluctance. The online price for a printer was half of what I could buy at London Drugs or Walmart. I don't need a new printer, but want to play with a wireless one which will print from my devices (wherever I happen to be through the Net). Just too geeky to pass up."
Moments ago, I completed the process to buy this Brother DCP-L2540DW online for $129. Oh, and those are Canadian bucks meaning the price across the border would look even 25% cheaper!
I ended up justifying doing so for a number of reasons: 1) Perhaps due to the model's clearance, it seems really cheap. 2) Unlike my previous printer, it can duplex and save a lot of paper. 3) I have had my present printer for nine years. 4) The new model doesn't need to be attached by USB and will connect to wifi from our bedroom. 5) This should also be able to print from my phone and tablet seamlessly, and is Google Cloud Printer ready. 6) Most of the online reviews are positive.
With all those benefits, I'd be crazy NOT to have bought it. Right? The only caveat is I hardly have a real need to print anything. Sigh.
