Today though, Jay just noticed three fuzzy things scooting about in one corner of the Met Hotel's roof. Gull chicks can run around as soon as they get out of their eggs. Many gulls have hatched here in past years as the same nesting material is reused.
The Met is the four-floor reddish building with all the rear-facing windows. This year's gull family is to the front right of the rooftop as well. It is a fair distance and we must check through binoculars from our balcony. Just to give a glimpse here though, I will see what they look like with my camera fully zoomed.
Question: Aren't they cute? Answer: We're programmed to think babies of all species are.
