Password particularities came to mind as I was visiting friends who have a spreadsheet to keep all theirs straight. That seems like overkill if one has created a good enough personal system. For example, I've been using a hard to guess root and add specific details from each site by appending either a prefix or suffix of unique details for it. My root contains numbers and a few capital letters. My method seems to work everywhere and as the passwords contain redundant data, my fingers fly when typing them.
I most often let Chrome remember them for everyday Internet so I don't end up needing to constantly reenter on trusted devices.
You most probably don't ever remember seeing Facebook's logon!
Today though, I figured it was time to make changes when Facebook showed my password there had been the same for 14 months. Oh my, I'm getting lazy! Today, I went through with a new incarnation of my previous formula. I tried to hit and change every single website I use. Needless to say, it was surprising to see just how many valid accounts I have. It feels better knowing that everything important has been changed over to a new scheme.
Bio-metrics should definitely have progressed as protection for everyday use. Nobody has my own unique fingerprints or my beautiful blue eyes for that matter.
