Just called to schedule a stop for Internet service when we away for the winter. The staff at NOVUS are so polite and helpful. Just another reason why going away is cheaper than staying home.

A FUN FACT:
If all the arteries and veins in a human’s circulatory system were put together, they would stretch for 60,000 miles (100,000 km). That’s almost two and a half times around the Earth.

For now, let's just kick things off with a link to a personal Flickr photo album which I hold dear.
It contains a representative image of each and every country or territory that I've visited up till now. All of these places, save for two, I visited with Jay during our years together. He never traveled to Syria or Kuwait. However, he went to two countries where I've never visited: Cyprus and Pakistan.
Here, I've selected one of the images to include. I took a photo of these still famous water towers in the country of Kuwait. The image taken long before the Gulf Wars and was already a symbol of the country when I accepted my first teaching job right out of college. It was a fascinating glimpse into the world outside the protected bubble of my youth.
