This morning we got in the car with the intention of taking a small drive into the next town to visit a park. Burnaby's Fraser Foreshore Park is about a fifteen-minute drive.
Yet we didn't get down to the other end of downtown before we got stuck in traffic re-routing around a fatal accident that occurred near the Queensborough Bridge. I had Android Auto running on the entertainment display and I kept thinking Google Maps was goofy telling me to take turns off the simplest route. Evidently, it was aware of the road closure and just trying to keep me from getting stuck in the bottleneck of traffic avoiding the area.
The a/c was running and the change of plans wasn't really any trouble. We didn't have to visit that park today as it was just an idea. So, when I had the chance, I detangled ourselves from the queue and veered off to stay in our own little city of New Westminster.
