Canadians are very likely to know their dollar rates relative to other currencies. On news reports in Canada, many people hear or see our dollar and the daily US dollar exchange rates.
More importantly, Jay and I like to know daily rates against other currencies. We have always travelled a lot. In fact, since early retirement, we venture outside our country for 5/12ths of the average year. We go someplace warmer and drier than Vancouver when the calendar shows those months between November and March.
The former version of the XE converter worked flawlessly. A price input in any currency could easily be viewed in comparison to the others chosen. We're now in Mexico, so I need to instantaneously see various peso prices against Canadian dollars and our other currencies of interest.
Their new version of the Android app came out in December and it is absolutely rubbish. It requires an increased number of keystrokes but provides a less fluid operation. I was so disappointed with the new version that I returned to prior version 7.1.2. I have now set Google Play Store not to auto-update this particular app. Sometimes new isn't better and xe.com is a perfect case in point.
