Now, more and more, I figure SE Asia will be included as a major part of future winters. I retired at 55 in order to be able to spend five or six months of each year continuing to explore our world. For us, the months between November and April are a perfect time to escape Vancouver's rainy, grey skies. I am beginning to realize the list of potential locations is growing faster than the number of years we probably have left to see them.
Today, I was looking at the in-flight magazine found in my seat pocket. Let's see, Air Asia currently lists 90 destinations. Whenever I see numbers, I always want to make them apply to me. (Actually, I do that with just about everything.) So, I went through the listings to see how many of the places Jay and I had visited. This was the result: we have already been to exactly half the cities to which they fly. Mind you, we didn't visit many of these places on Air Asia. In fact, I last stepped on the streets of some of these destinations decades ago. Retracing trips would be fun as I could use a whole lot of 'refreshers'.
Apparently, I should invent in Air Asia stock!
