Today, we got an early start at around 10:15. Of course, no pictures were allowed inside, so we had to settle for snapping a few in front.
The exhibits were nicely arranged and there were some good, large pieces. Everything was well marked in English and Arabic. It was fascinating looking at statues, many of which were not under glass, face to face. After spending time here one needs to ensure one doesn't get blasé about well-preserved objects, even furniture and clothing, that date back 4000 years. If one is only visiting upper Egypt, stopping at this museum would be important, just to see the several mummies.
Yet, our walk-through took us only an hour and ten minutes. We carefully looked at everything on offer. I am not sure that the new, current price of EP 100 ($CA 17) each was worth it to us.
